Dominant 2 Yr. Old Main Coon Vs New 10 Month Main Coon? Help?

So we've have our Main Coon Moose for about 5 months know. He likes playing and is always rolling around. Recently, we went to Petsmart and saw a 10 month old Main Coon named Abner. He is so sweet and was hit by a car, so now has a peg in his leg. My dad felt sorry and wants to adopt him, but my mom is scared they won't get along because moose is terrotorial. They're both male. Is this a good idea? My friend said as long as theyre the same breed they'll be fine. is this true?
