Is the Bersa thunder .380 a good first handgun for a woman?

I've been doing a lot of research, and have even been to multiple stores to find the perfect semi auto handgun that fits my hand correctly and that I feel comfortable with. I know most of you would recommend a .45 (or a revolver, which I personally do not like), I'm also buying one of those for my husband as well considering he wants a 1911. My hands are to small for Glock and Beretta, which of course would've been my first choice. I also found the Taurus TCP and Kel Tec P3AT comfortable to hold and shoot as well, but I like the safety features of the Bersa (since I have a 7 yr old niece who often comes to visit). I of course know how to shoot and go to the range quit often, but I was just wondering if anyone has experience with the bersa thunder 380 or has purchased one and knows the pros and cons. Thank you!
