What is your opinion on euthanasia?

My opinion is lethal injection; to cause a painless death should be legal under certain cirstances. The kind of cirstances where I believe it should be legal is if someone was involved in an accident where they were severely hurt, examples are they’ve permanently lost their eye sight, they’ve permanently lost limbs (arms, legs, waist down, etc), they’ve permanently lost the ability to walk or function in other areas (paralysis, nerve damage), etc. The other cirstances are related to serious illnesses such as cancer, and they are dying slowly. I do think if the person is able to give consent, it should be done, and if the person is so severely hurt or sick that they are unable to give consent, then it should be up to close family. You see some severely injured or sick people in everyday life or on TV, and many of those people who see them say ‘God, I’d rather be dead’, well perhaps the people they’re looking at wouldn’t, but those that do should be given the right to p if they want to under those horrific cirstance where life is a nightmare. I’ve always maintained that physical health is the most important thing in life, and there shouldn’t be any other reasons whatsoever to commit suicide unless you’ve been subject to severe irreversible injuries or illnesses. That’s just my opinion.
