I have a question about terrorism...?

Most Islamic extremist terrorists believe that they are doing the will of Allah by 1) attacking his enemies and 2) through the notion of jihad which they are taking to an extreme. Jihad means "struggle", and by launching an attack they feel they are spreading the influence of Islam through violence. This is, as you know, not the way "normal" or "sane" Muslims think.
