How disturbing is this?

My girlfriend and I were on a 2 day cruise to nowhere and we met a couple who told us a story about a super creepy old man who approached the wife and propositioned her for . They gave us all the gorey details and my girlfriend and I were mortified. Later that night we were waiting for the elevator when this creepy 90 year old guy came up to me and started stroking my purse. I tried to ignore him when he asked "what kind of skin is this?" I said "I'm not sure but I think it's faux suede." Then he started stroking my shoulder and asked "What kind of skin is this?" I answered "That's 100% California !" I was just trying to be goofy not thinking about the story we had heard from the couple earlier. He said "Do you wanna go up to my room and F?" I was shocked and I looked to my girlfriend for help. I said "I guess we should take the stairs" and he said "Maybe you don't understand. I want to put my D in you!" we scurried away as fast as we could and laughed about it later but I'm still having nightmares over it. What's your take? What would you have done besides not saying "100% california "
