How can i get a boyfriend?

my freshman year in high school is almost over and i can litterally say i have no guy friends from school. i moved to a new town over the summer, and began my career as a high schooler here. i'm pretty (not beautiful, but attractive i guess...not to toot my own horn lol),i play piano, i'm athletic (i do gymnastics), and had a 4.0 on my last report card. i probably don't have all that much time for a boyfriend, but i've always wanted one. i've been liked (by about 5-6 guys that i knew of or can remember in middle school) and asked out by one, but i turned him down, as i didn't feel i was ready for a boyfriend. now i feel that i am, but i don't know how to go about it. i'm a little shy around new people and when i'm not around my friends i tend to be quiet and feel out of place. i'm not like socially retarded or anything, i'm just not very outgoing. any help? flirting tips? anything?!
